Health Care and Family Planning

The importance of health care in this modern era needs no elaboration. To the utter surprise of many, Tirah valley is one place, which is totally neglected/ deprived of the very basic medical facilities. The main reason of this ignorance may be imputed to non-availability of roads, electricity, and telecommunication. According to SDPRD's survey, there are only four doctors in the entire region. Women and children are deprived of the basic life saving vaccinations/drugs. Moreover, awareness about the family planning does not exist at all. In nutshell, the region is under acute health crisis and calls for immediate attention. SDPRD has plans to launch major health, hygiene and sanitation, and family planning programme with the joint collaboration of WHO and other national/ international donor agencies. SDPRD has a team of qualified, young and energetic doctors who will be sent to the area. They will not only educate people on various diseases but will also undertake vaccination projects with the help of community heads. Health care and family planning encompasses following projects:
